- As a member of the California State Bar since 1994, Iris McKay has handled over 600 divorce cases, as a litigator or as a mediating attorney. She is also a San Diego County Pro Tem settlement judge.
- In May 2006, she was named a semifinalist by San Diego County's legal newspaper, The Daily Transcript, as one of San Diego's top divorce attorneys.
- Ms. McKay is a member of the following organizations: the California Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the San Diego County Bar Association, the Lawyers Club, the San Diego County Bar Foundation, and the Employee Assistance Professional Association.
- Ms. McKay is an active supporter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the Ronald McDonald House, the Foundation For Women, and is a member of Team in Training.
