Qualifying For Your Initial Phone Consult
|
Please Note: You will qualify for a free consultation if you were personally referred to Iris McKay by your therapist, attorney, business colleague, friend or other person. Please put the referring person's name on your questionnaire.
STEPS TO SETTING UP YOUR TELEPHONE CONSULT:
1) Download and complete a brief questionnaire relating to your situation: 20 Minute Consultation Information Sheet. Provide Ms. McKay with any background or factual information related to your case, which can include: your specific questions or concerns, the length of your marriage, occupation of husband and wife as well as gross monthly earnings, children’s ages and special needs, any past or current court proceedings, a general idea of your assets and debts and any other relevant information. All information submitted is strictly confidential.
2) After completing your questionnaire, email it to im@irismckay.com or fax to (858) 332-1704. Please include your email address, a telephone number where you can be reached, as well as several good times to reach you.
3) If qualified, Iris McKay will review your questionnaire. An email will be sent to you with the date and time for your scheduled phone consultation time.
TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR TELEPHONE CONSULT:
1) Be ready and available for the consult; if something comes up that you cannot, kindly email a request for an alternate time.
2) You should be in a place where you can speak privately, without distractions.
3) Allow Ms. McKay to conduct the consultation as an interview. Answer her questions honestly. Although it may be difficult for you to discuss your situation, try not to use your consultation time to criticize your spouse or vent about any negative feelings, as this will not allow you to obtain the maximum benefit from the consult.
NOTE: Please review the following situations or issues that do NOT qualify for the free consultation: You do not have Internet or email access; you have had three or more attorneys; your case or residence is not within San Diego County; your case is with DCSS or within the juvenile or probate court system.
