You, as an individual, hire TMLG to serve as a consultant in your family law matter. We are not your ‘attorney of record.’ You represent your-self in court and are responsible for all paperwork and compliance with court rules and deadlines. TMLG can assist you with advice, strategy and document preparation, as needed. We cannot communicate directly with your spouse’s attorney or make court appearances. You can switch to ‘traditional representation if necessary.
Requirements to Retain:
You pay only for the time you need, in hourly increments. Hourly rates of our attorneys vary.
Advantages:
Allows a client to only pay for the services needed. Especially good for people with good business skills or little emotional attachment to their case.
Disadvantages:
If you do not share all relevant information with us, we cannot properly protect your interests.
