MEDIATION SERVICES

You and your spouse jointly retain TMLG to mediate your family law matter.  We are listed as “Mediating Attorneys’ in the court records.  We assist both of you in understanding California law and in resolving any disputed issues.  We then draft your agreement into a Marital Settlement  Agreement.  We can make administrative court appearances on your behalf, but we cannot argue on behalf of one spouse over the other  to the court.  TMLG handles all court required paperwork.

Requirements to Retain:
You and your spouse pay a retainer anticipated  to cover 60 days of legal services.  Retainers start at $3,000.

Advantages:
Best economic choice for divorce.  Allows the couple to work together with an experienced mediator and to resolve their issues with the least amount of conflict.

Disadvantages:
If you or your spouse gives up on the mediation process, the mediation fails and you must each hire your own attorney to litigate.

Getting Started:
Please call us at (619) 516-8118 to schedule a 20 minute free consultation with one of our lawyers.
