Afternoon Project - TAP clients must demonstrate financial hardship and
a need for free legal services. Similar to ‘Consultation’ clients,
TMLG is not your ‘attorney of record’ to the court. Your services are
limited to a maximum of one hour of attorney time per week. You must
be able to communicate by email and have the confidence to represent
yourself in court. TMLG renders this free service to TAP clients on
Thurs-day afternoons only. TAP is not designed for high conflict
divorces.
Requirements to Retain:
Services are free, if you qualify. Any services you need beyond the program are paid for on a consultation basis.
Advantages:
Allows
client to receive valuable advice to protect rights that could be
permanently lost and is the only program in San Diego County to assist
in this regard.
Disadvantages:
Some clients have difficulty with the limited contact they have with their TMLG attorney.
